Thread: Timing Off......Dammit!!

I just got help syncing my MPC to protools and everything starts and stop like it should, but when I track an instrument into protools the timing is off. The frame rates for both the MPC and PT is set to 30, but it's still off. What am I missing here.

I think your issue could be latency. Some software offers Latency compensation but not protools. Its a big reason why people don't like making beats on it besides the fact it dosent support vst. Do do have a usb interface or firewire. If its usb then your going to have issues big time.

So is there anyway to combat this problem that you know of? outside of getting a Digi 003. Cause I can't let this thing hold me up. I got work to get out.

Cuz I don't know, I have a usb midi and my shit works fine only thing I can think of is did you change the tempo in protools, and your playback has to just be on input when your recording, just input. make sure that your mp is set to 30 not 30m or some shit like that I know that theres a 30 with a letter next to it, you don't want that one, just the 30.

It's set there already. I'm gonna play around with it a little and see what happens. If anybody else has dealt with it before let me know what you did. If we figure it out then we all will know what to do the next time.
