Thread: Sine wave signaling?

What is it and how do you do it on Logic? Thanks in advance!!!-Will make hits for food

What effect or sound are you going for? Or is this just for general info. I did it in Pro Tools once to get a nice sub sound to a kick, where I sent a sine wave at a low sub frequency to a gate and had the gate cut it and had my kick route to the sidechain input on the gate. I think i set up a bus to route the kick to then into the sidechain. I tweaked the gate so it only opened when the kick would hit. So the kick hit with a deep sub sine wave. It actually worked ok for what i was doing on that beat.
