Just for everyone who doesn't know. If you live in an apartment and you have Renter's Insurance, your equipment is somewhat covered. I've had many lengthy conversations about this with my insurance agent. Here's the thing to be careful about though. They will give you the money for stolen items based the price for the same item or a similar item (which i am sure is the same with all insurance companies). So something like an MPC3000 which will run you a grip on ebay, things will get shady on what the give you the money for. If they give you the price of a new MPC2XL, you'll be fine. But you can actually take out seperate insurance on an MPC, but you would have to provide your insurance company with a quote from a reputable dealer. But if you have new equipment your good to go. This of course doesn't cover you if you take your equipment out of the apartment.
