Which? and why?
Alesis Andromeda - Analog nastiness pure and simple
Nord Lead - Nice synths and electro sounds
Dave Smith Poly evolver - Big sound!
Access Virus - Crazy sounds, unique timbre and hot leads
Moog little fatty - some classic Moog sounds in a nice package
Yamaha Motif series - wonderful pianos and EPs. great all around warmth for a rompler.
Yamaha EX5 - Probably the most powerful workstation ever built in terms of synthesis capability.
Korg M3- definitely a worthy successor to the Korg workstation lineage, excellent bread and buter sounds. Nice sequencer.
Korg Oasys - A beast with the price to match!
Kurzweil K series - great all around sounds even as far back as the K2000. Continues to get better.
Roland Fanthom - Good sounds, easy to use sequencer. A bit dated, but only because of it's popularity.
I still have my Kurzweil K2000S. Loved it. I learned to make beats on it. I'm also a fan of the ASR-10. Those are old school boards...triton is the beast of the new generation.
Access Virus TI. I'm a big fan of synth parameter control via knobs. flipping through menus to program a patch gets tedious if you do it a lot. Plus there are a lot of unique patches.
thanks guys.
synthlegend... now i know why.
hoodmade... lol. dell sucks. mac makes some pretty good wireless gear. get on the train.
I like Motif ES8, Korg Karma, Korg Triton, Roland Fantom X7 and a classic Korg Trinity Pro X 88. I have had all these boards at one point in time and would use them again. I still have the Fantom and the Motif ES 8.
No love for the Alesis Fusion? I can tweak that thing to make it sound however I want. I'm trying to cop Logic 8 soon.
No keyboard compares to a Fantom.......roland sounds, synthesis, and efx. Nothing like it!!!!!
Motif ES6 here.
It's Yamaha so the pianos are incredible and the Rhodes, Wurlies, Strings and Brass are real nice.
if ur looking to get a modern keyboard (not vintage), the roland juno g is good in terms of bang for your buck. its only about $1000, and has the fantom engine with most of the same sounds...i like it.
Ensoniq ASR 10 is my favorite for beats I like the Motif for workstations and Moog Voyager for synths
ASR-10 you can still get sounds for it, it is easy to use, I dont like Korg for sequencing they have great sounds but their sequencing is horrible. The Roland SH-201 is a great synth keyboard for those that like to tweak. Yamaha motif is ok also.
My first "real" keyboard was the Triton Classic and it is the only keyboard I have right now in my setup. It is the core of my production tools. If I hit the Fantasy 5, I would cop a Motiff easy. If I hit the powerball though, I am Miko or Neko bound......

I'm a have to go with the Fantom. The sounds are amazing and easy to use.
