It should run like it is official, minus the support. I'm not sure about how macs work. Logic is only for Macs. I am in the market for a mac, only for Logic.

I just bought the upgrade from logic Pro 7 yesterday - dunno if it changed with 8 (if you were to buy it brand new) but on previous versions you need a USB xs key - so good luck

Logic is the one thing I will always cough up loot for & not bootleg

plus there's like 9gigs of content discs thats missing here

my advice - if you are tryna get a MAC - (not that you would - but this is a message to everybody) - DO NOT GET AN iMAC - they are cute & all - but GET A TOWER!!!!!! I was "given" an iMac G5 that I rarely use & keep at someone elses house strictly for ProTools & it sucks - my dual 2 Ghz PowerPC G5 from July 2005 is STILL a beast & runs problem free

I will give updates once I actually install the upgrade

I got the new IMac 2.0 Ghz. It works great with me running logic 8 along with other programs. Maybe the older ones sucked, but I like my new Imac...coming from a MacBook Pro 1.86 Ghz. One thing I do fault the IMac on is lack of USB ports. Man, I got like a ton of external drives and USB controllers and stuff...had to buy another USB hub.

anybody know what is on the 9 gigs of content thats missing. If its just apple loops, we can get that easy. If its virtual instruments and plugins, maybe not. Has anyone got this up and running? Thanks in advance.
