Nah i'm pretty sure this means you could stick this on a usb stick and wherever you plug in the usb stick, you could instantly open fruity loops without having to install it and all that
Got it working... I just unzipped the files onto my 1 gig flash drive and thats it. Click on the FL file and it opens... No Install needed!Originally Posted by HOODMADE
This is hot especially if you have to take your FL sessions to another location. This way the other site does not have to have the program installed on the computer. All you need is this and the Zipped session file.
Sh*t I needed this during the Scion Beat Battle!!!
I knew you'd get it poppin Cut.Originally Posted by Track-Heads
So technically, it could be on a CD too, right? Or does it have to be on media that you can write to?
Does that also mean that if you have a Treo with Windows, you could dump it on a memory card and run FL on your phone?
I don't think it will work on a CD because as soon as you click on the FL icon... 2 or 3 temporary files are written to the folder (2 are temporary registry files); and when you close the program they erase themselves. This process might not work on a non-rewrittable CD thats "closed"Originally Posted by HOODMADE

does anyone know the answer to this because if yes im doing this ish today lol
ok i save this joint to my 2gb stick...and i see the joint in there but when i double click on the fruitty icon it does not launch....it says that its 177kb is this correct...did anyone get this to work yet?
ok question with this portable fruitty must i run the rar program everytime i start it from my stick because this is the only way im getting the program to work....someone help
No just unzip the rar files to a folder on your stick and thats it... Run the program by clicking on the FL icon in the folder.Originally Posted by ChefBoyarBeatz
I ran the program and its just like the official FL 6.08 version.
I use it at work to try and make a beat when the boss is away
cut thanx fam...i finally did this ish correct...but now i have another quick question. When i load fruitty my step sequencer is acting crazy....only the clap is is working and the other three items the kick, hit hat or snare are red and when i click on a step it does not give me any audio...what am i doing wrong?????????
Chef... Yeah mine was doing the same thing. Looking at the total size of the program file, I'm assuming they didn't include all of the default sounds (the channel turns red when its missing a sound or can't find it in a directory). No big deal for me since I don't use Fruity's kits. Just make you a folder of your essential drum kits and samples and put them on your stick so you'll have them.
Yall still working with this? Would you mind uploading it somewhere for me? I just copped a stick today and I wanna try it out at work.
Aiight, check it out.
I ran the portable FL yesterday on my home computer. Shit worked like a charm. I even got all my Waves plugs and a few of my essential VST's on my thumb drive. Lovely!
Now I'm at work and I tried to run it here. For some reason, it says that it's a demo now, even though last night it worked in full version.
Here's some background information. My home computer has Vista. I have 5, 6 & 7 installed, but only 5 will work. (Not sure why, I mentioned before that it might be my copy that's giving me a problem) My work computer has 5 installed.
Does anybody have that registry editor and the executable that you need in order for 6 to work? Maybe that has to be ran on the computer that you want to use it on...
Any suggestions? Did you guys keep using the portable joint?
Hmmm I can't imagine what is going on!?!?! I simply click on the FL ".exe" and it works for me.
As for your Vista/ FL Studio 7 issue... I would recommend you uninstalling all the previous versions (making backups of course) and then cleaning your registry using Registry Mechanic. Once you've cleaned your registry of the bad entries you can reinstall which ever version (preferably vs 7) and start FRESH!!!

I appreciate the link.
Now, here's the thing. The first version I tried installing was 7. I figured new PC, new O.S., let's get the newest FL. Shit didnt work though. Then, I tried 6. Nada... so I went to 5.
Do you have another link in your bag-o-tricks for a good version of 7?
This is the version I'm using at work... I'm probably using the "legit" version at home. See if this works for you...

As a matter of fact... what version of FL 7 were you using? FL 7.0.2 is the latest
I dont remember which version I had - that was back when my laptop got stolen. But even when I had 7 on there, I used 6 because 7 bugged out and ruined some beats.
Okay, I'm one for one now. I took the drive to my people's spot yesterday and it worked just fine.
Here's a question... how do I install drivers so that I can use a USB Midi Keyboard along with it? I have a midi keyboard at the crib that I use, but Portable FL wont recognize it. I assume that's because the drivers are on the C drive. Is there anyway to put that INF file on the thumb drive and make it work from there?
