    Thoughts on Watch The Throne?

Seems to be one of the most polarizing albums ever. My verdict, I think that shits garbage, and I'm a huge fan of Jay & 'Ye. No Church In The Wild & Otis are ok songs, but I am largely unimpressed by this album.

I mean, Who Gon Stop Me, they are sampling a dubstep song that came out this year, and I like the dubstep song better.

How do you guys feel about it?

I was a little disappointed...The production level is amazing! I agree with the dubstep record. Joint was amazing! Along with the Neptunes track as well..

Most of it was straight ya-bage. Threw it out the window, popped in Royce's new joint, and haven't looked back since.

OK, here's a really good Young Guru interview, around the 6 minute mark he talks about Watch the Throne and how dudes are global artists - so old heads ain't supposed to like every track. I can't argue with the logic. I don't dig the album, but I ain't mad at them either.

Watch The Throne vs Carter IV

The songs I thought were great were No Church In The Wild, Gotta Have It, New Day, Why I Love You and Murder to Excellence. Watch the Throne is difficult to classify cos if I compare it the music being put out now its good but if you compare it to Hiphop Albums across the board its not as nice. Personally My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was waay betta and I recently checked out Carter IV which I must admit Weezy put in work lyrically in terms of style and punchlines though his content could improve alot. All in all I feel Watch The Throne was rushed and I didnt hear as much of Jay's input or he didnt express himself artistically enough as much as Kanye did with New Day for example. Gonna check out Royce now since y'all are biggin it up..

Well I would like to take every producer on there....and abuse them all for 6 rounds each. Because i make beats like I'm ready to whoop some ass! lol With all due respect (I don't need no one tryna blackball me just because i hurt their feelings) .

You should see the blog I wrote to those guys that did "who gonna stop me" I was talking major trash but i doubt if they saw it. I should post it like 17 times. lol

What?! I didn't even know it was a recent dubstep sample. Now I have even less respect for it. I thought it was hot until this weird keyboard part came in like halfway to through the song. I can't believe Kanye heard it and okayed it.

Well i didnt think the album was bad. Better then alotta shit that's out. I liked a lotta songs on there. And they're spittn pretty ill. I mean it was jay z and kanye. What did you expect? I think it's the hip hop audience being fickle we gotta be the strangest critics ....it's illogical. I think the game just needs a facelift! ! ! ...........THAT'S HOW I FEEL!

DAMN you guys sound like straight haters/ scorned b*tches. What album, that came out this year, was a better OVERALL album??? Im waiting... You guys were in AWW @ the thought of Jay & Ye doing a album together that you guys spent months imagining what they could possibly be making... and when you found out they went somewhere completely different, you cried!
FACE IT... these niggas dont stay in one place for too long... if you want old "Blueprint Jay" or "College Dropout Ye" then buy those albums. They aint like those other artist, who follow the same formula over and over again and are afraid to challenge themselves lyrically (Subject Matter) and musically... because @ the end of the day they are not rappers BUT musicians... Just like The Beatles or Michael Jackson.

I was expecting something for straight hip hop heads and that wasn't anywhere close imo. Yeah there were a couple of joints that were good but I think their plan to touch a larger audience will hurt them in the long run. I mean if you think about it, they're giving the hip hop heads a less than mediocre album (and everybody else for that matter...), I don't think the hip POP crowd will be happy either. This album is all over the place so I don't think anyone will like it from start to finish. The album has done well but I'm not even looking forward to the next one if this is the NEW way to broaden audiences.

Watch the Throne was pretty medicore for me for all the hype. I liked maybe half or a little bit more than half of the album,Carter 4 to me is a flop, I liked even less songs off this than Carter 3,this is my opinion though of course. I really liked RED Album a lot, I liked practically every song maybe 1 song or 2 maybe that I didn't like.

I'm a huge fan of Jay & Kanye but it could have been WAY better. I'm a fan of Wayne also but ever since he started dishing out tapes like the world was about to end the next day that kind of got me tired of him cause many of the songs were just crap. So to me Game out on top in the summer. I'm a huge fan of all 4 artists.
