Thread: Musiq Soulchild Submissions

Aiight, I wanted to come up wit somn' new for him seein' how I feel like all the other things I made is old to me (like some odd months ago). But, I did think about this sample I flipped n wondered if I should even bother sendin' it in or not. My partner found a sample that I feel would fit him to the T. But, I'm not completely mad at this joint either... n the original idea was to shoot it to Keith Murray n see if he would take it n do somewha of a part two to Just Like That (the most beautifullest thing in this world is...), only xception bein' he's talkin' about a female (can't go wrong swoonin' the ladies)! Lemme kno wha yall think... should I or shouldn't I? I would wanna revisit this tho (even tho I feel like I don't really need to... yet I do - lol)! Feedback please...!

What it do, Beatfellaz? I was just jumping on to set up the Musiq Soulchild Sub thread...lol...will def check out ur subs and be back later. Here are my subs....Sub 2 and 3 were two I have already tried pushing a few times...lol...never give up...lol....the first one is a something I had shot to a local MC in MIA a few yrs back and thought I would "dress it up" a lil and try it on the R&B tip...my thoughts on it was for it to be a Musiq feat. rapper track....check'em and wreck'em...but don't talk bout my mama!

Ok...the Most Beautifullest is so Musiq and the sample I know but can't place right now in my head where I heard it used in this progression...but I could def hear Musiq working this...now the only thing is the sound quality sounds a little off but I am on my cans @ work and the bass line sounds like it needs a little "reinforcement" boost if original bass line of sample is what is being used or just a little boost if not...it sits down in the track and seems like it should be just a little more up front w/ the drums...if that makes sense...anyway, tight work!...

You know my answer to submitting...pass up no opps!...this track fits his style...mos def, submit!....this track and the other.....

you should i think...based on the overall vibe nuthin really to add... my motherboard out of service and this computer Im usin just now is really not suited for listening to music... soundcard is awful...

There's cass in there. Headphones really won't let u see it seein' how I played a sub over it straight thru. De La Soul sampled this for Steaks Is High.

CD... 1/3... YESZUR! Altho I'm not mad at those drums at all... against the melodic guitar, think of the drum pattern in Best I Ever Had. That type of pattern wit those drums you're usin' would kill!

@Beatfellaz That was Dela...u put me back in college with that one...thanks...will def look into the "remix" with the drum pattern...yeah, i can't hear subs on the work cans...my crib cans mysteriously disappeared which usually means my daughter got me...but she doesn't even know what happen this time...lol...did u submit the track?

hmmh..I really like this one...
the only thing I would change imho is the clap... not really change it because it is a nice one, but I wonder what a bigger attack would do.. or somehow adding more "snap" to it...

but overall I really like it... What would be nice would have been like a solo instrument standing out at some point but that might be me wanting to hear some jazz

Nah, revisit it to make it stellar but you could also try, who knows...

after listening properly, you could try but yeah... I would see a rap artist on that with a female rnb artist on the hook... so more a Keith murray track indeed...

Whaddup peoples. Just wanted to stop by and weigh in on the submissions. BF, I think the track is pretty dope. can't say there would be too much I would personally change about em. And track#1 from CD is official too. You know how you think you're music is good and then you listen to something that puts your joints to shame. That's kinda how i feel after listening to those tracks. It's all good cuz it's just motivation right? yAll be easy

Good lookin' on the feedback Base. That's definately one of the reasons why I wanted to revisit it (not sayin' there was anything really wrong wit it in the first place, but), to see if we could do somn' either different or extra to wha was already there.

Yeah, I submitted it in CD... so let's see wha happens. N hide the good phones from the lil' one... give her the coby or jensen joints! Everything sony n better, we keep on stash mode - lmao!
