    Drape...

It doesn't really strike me as a track for Nas. Ok, I'll take that back (n reword)... I can hear him on the idea, but I can't hear him on this.

    Wha I don't like:
The sound. It's not him... not even on the Nigger album. The arrangement can be better, as well as the chord structure.

    Wha I do like:
Its not even like, I absolutely love the drums! I would definately take that kit n come up wit somn' more up-beat (only because the opp said singles/hits n I'm thinkin' about wha radio is playin' now... rap wise that's a hit... n wha would fit for him as a hit for the radio that people would gravitate to). A song that comes to mind is Fried Chicken. That track is tuff city all day... n very well under rated. I would keep the sounds, but use them in a more cunning kind of way that would not only fit his style, but also scream out SINGLE!

idk what u talkin bout - oh shit - I was on track 1 - that shit is SOLID 4 real - shit i could hear nas on that one if that was just a hook - lovin that - but yo - i'll click 49 now

yo - u r messin my brain up - i know you got crazy heat in the full spectrum - nuff respect - but #49 for Nas? who knows, maybe - but I think you caught a lil seasoning in your stash! but yo - the track is hot & could be big for someone - the stereo field on the fx synth is crazy

& Drape - your track is decent - i'd think it wouldn't be a fit for NAs - but who really knows - funny thing is, unless you catch Nas in some non-scheduled blunt session & played him your shit - the 2-5 filters it hits b4 it even could possibly get to him, are thinking "WHAT would Nas rock to" - so, therefore the variables are extensive

#49 doesn't really fit nas in my opinion.

I listened to some random numbers after that, and I can hear nas over 56. Sounds like a chopped and reprogrammed drum break which gives it that classic hip hop essence I can hear Nas rocking over. I like that record.

And because I was randomly browsing for records that fit Nas, you know I clicked on #64 Hip Hop 101.

I was ready to do this--->, but was left like this because with all my heart I wanted those piano chords just a little at some point, then come back to the 2 you have looping. But you won me back with the hi synth with the delay that starts at the chorus part.

But I like that beat enough where I felt like I needed to say that even tho i'm sure you have that "I didn't ask you what you thought of that beat in the first place" face going on as you read this, lol. My 2 cents, the shits a dope record. I think that record and 56 might fit nas better.

I like your shit tho, for whatever that's worth to you my long posting partner in crime.

    @drape

not a bad track, just I don't think its good for Nas. In my head I can't see any of Nas' flows going to that beat. I can hear a more natural south cat on it maybe, especially if you catered the drum work to that type of artist.

I like the idea of Player. The synths are wha really grabbed my attention. I'd say listen to some of AZ's music, how those drums sound in pattern n overall. I think the scheme would fit better over that type of thing n u would have somn' he could go dumb on about a chick or somn' (prolly Kelise)!

Super Fresh is hands down crack! I can definately see him on this!

#49 is a banger. I could hear Nas spittin on this 4 sure. Only thing I would change.....(which is just my opinion btw) is the tempo. Slow the tempo down a bit so Nas could go in on that phone tap, nas esco type flow. He would kill this track tho.

I like both tracks alot, only problem I have in my opinion is the mixing. Atleast when I hear it on my monitors. I think both tracks need to have the drums out more. I like hard hitting drums period tho, thats just me. But both tracks are some joints Nas could spit over 4 sure.

Anyways here are my submissions for Nas -

Hopefully Nas next project he goes in the direction of his former self, preferably, the verbal intercourse & phone tape Nas

#49 solid track. It needs the right artist to set it off.

What it do Drape? I have to say I like this first up. I think drums need a little more power...maybe compression or something (my lilttle mixing knowledge)...to give them more punch...a little more work on the mix and spreading the sounds out....seems like the keys/synths/horns are all on top of each other to me....but I see the idea and think this could be turned into a powerful song like a T.I. feat. Justine like track. A vocalist on the hook and a MC spittin' somethin' of substance on the verses....could Nas do that? I think so...it would be different from what he usually flows on but that isn't a bad thing...

As I am writing this, I am listening to Throwback. Throwback is tight work man. I could actually see Nas on some ole' school back and forth with Az on this....I like this man....hell, throw a vocalist on the hook. what the hell...

I Make It Hot is possible. When I started listening to it and started thinking how he could use it, I started thinking bout Ochie Wally (whatever the name)... Nas doesn't usually drop the typical radio type singles but him dropping on something out the norm especially if produced right could be a winner...

You got some heat in the list, with all kind of potential for an artist with the right idea behind them...Sunset is a banger...

thanks to everyone for the feedback on my first track, heres the next one. its on my soundclick page, #9 called All My Life. Not a brand new beat, but i thought it would be a good track for the Nigger album.

Also if you have the time, please check out the rest of my tracks, and let me know if you find any other beats that would be a good option for nas.

damn i love player im listening to it now. nas would murk it, but he would have to use his old flow, and that's kind of the reason why i doubt he would want the baet, because i can tell that nas wants to spit differently, but the old nas would kill that beat any day.

imma download this, and i'll comment on superfresh as soon as i hear it

i like that superfresh as well, but the mix aint that good, sounds like it was made in the 80's. too oldskool. i dont think nas would want that, on the info for the submission, they wrote CLASSIC nas material, but also added that you should think 2012. so that means something new gotta be done, dont submit this one, player is good to go though, but that's my opinion. at the end of the day u gotta do u. like imma submit my "Love for the game" track, even though most ppl said nas wouldnt want it, but someone else would.

im not sampling for the nas submissions. im actually better on the keys and i make hotter shit. i like to sample, but just for fun, not to make a beat to SELL. i dont wanna get into the shit weezy's into now, especially with the fact that im not weezy. but a lot of people underrate sampling and just to let u kno i aint one of those people. but i know that new styles that have been recently introduced to the hip hop game dont support sampling AS MUCH as they used to. and thats a FACT. and i been stressing this statement for the past few days, that the way i see it, NAS WANTS TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. i hope i'm wrong, because if that's the case, then none of us fully KNOW what the nigga wants for his new album. but from my point of view, no1 should sample, cause lately they aint been takin sampled beats, like someone earlier said in another thread in the ind. opp. forum. but everyone do you. to be honest, i dont know shit! im just a new member and all this is my opinion, and i may be wrong, or i may be right. GOD KNOWS. NAS KNOWS.

I hear you Drape. Right now since I haven't heard anything back, I am thinking of submitting as least one since the sample tracks could always be replayed if forwarded and samples are not allowed. If the track and idea for the track are tight enough, they may decide on replay (my logic speaking right now)....BUT I do hear you and will have another track with no sampling as well. Thanks.....ONe......what up, Leck? I saw your write up on ONe for Omaha, NE....I write it that way for "on one".....ONe.

I'm feelin' the first joint. I can hear him over it foreal! I think u could get away wit just the effects n prolly pauses in the track wit the drums (when it came down to mixin'). U could even use volume n pan on the effects to make it seem paramixed or somn'.

I don't think the second one would do him justice. Just doesn't grab me as a NaS joint.

    It's Time To Get Mine:
This pretty straight. I could see Nas spittin' on this as an album cut. This could be bigger at the hook part to me.

    Final Words:
I like. Would like more dynamics in the verse part though. A nice vocal sample matching the direction of the song....(i.e. some movie sample or something)....on top of the intro music would be tight to me also.

    BUT...it's not about me,hah..
