ALL HOTTT, the how i make u feel beat was the only one i would say wasnt living up to the others but that one was still hot. wont trip was blazin but a 50 second intro was killing it, i liked how it finnally came in but cut the intro down. otherwise hot
Big up Beatfellaz for taking action about posting the submission threads and not just talking about it. Def will check the beats out tonight.
"How I make you feel" - Crazy
"Somn Yard"- I like it, I really did.
"Wont Trip" - caught me off guard when it finally came in, nice. Way too long intro though. The intro was long, but it kinda needed it though, you just gotta hope that they are willing to sit there and listen to a 50 second intro.
Didn't we already rate "Hate That I Love U" ?
cut the intro and then if they pick it you can send em the one with the long intro after the fact and the artist or label can decide which they want
I wish I could, but I don't have PT @ my house, n I for damn sure don't feel like pullin' that session up n doin' all that work. I'll take my chances wit the intro (lol). I kno its long as hell. It was originally for a song that one of my homeboys in the AUG had done. But, it ended up not bein' used. I'll take the Scarface intro tho, cause that might just keep them anticipatin' somn' crazy, which I think it is. But, u do hold a valid point, cause an A&R has no patience - lmfao!
I think there's somn' wrong wit their server (again). I was listenin' to it earlier on here, n now its not playin' for me either. I guess just wait till tomorrow or somn'. If its still messin' up, I'll write them a letter!
We know you will..lol....I can't get anything to play either. If it is just a server issue and it works, how do you post the links to specific songs?
Hate That I Love U - This is tight to me on the R&B tip.
How You Make Me Feel - I like this better than Hate That I Love U.
Somn Yard - I like this too as an R&B song especially with a tight bridge added.
Won't Trip Ruff 4 - Intro too long but I like the beat. It sounds too much like every other southern style beat though...but I kno peep that would love this right now. and I have my share of these types of beats too coming from the south...lol
Overall tight work.
ALL FIYAH beats.. CHECK OUT MINE, lemme know wat u think

Really dope beats BeatFellaz! Very good progression in general and dope arrengements...that's the key!
Which compressor do u use? It sounds crunchy but good for a check out.
I'm thinking about to try this option instead of tagging my beats...do you think it has the same level of safety?
Thanks!
Good lookin'. There's a masterin' suite in reason that is pretty much on the master output of the mixer. It sounds good, but I found that when u run everything thru it, it doesn't come out the way its supposed to. So, I run 2 mixers (1 for drums n 1 for inst.) n have them both goin' to their own masterin' suite. Then, I run both of those to a line mixer n convert from there. It definately helps out controllin' the drums... n wit the line mixer, if it sounds underneath the inst., I can just turn it up n not lose any dynamic (I just started doin' trax this way for about 3 months now).
U have to clarify wha you're gonna do instead of taggin' ya trax. Do u mean usin' fileblaze as an email acct.?
Thanks for the answer bro...I also use 2 separated mix groups (beat and instr) but I'd like to know the concrete name of the compressor/limiter you use to not lose dynamic cause all software compressors I have lose some dynamic in this last step..
About the "option" I mean to saturate the beats instead of taggin them..
Sorry for my limited english lol
Nah, don't be sorry - lol! We're humans... we can do that!
Some good software compressors to me are the UAD SSL bundle. It has the SSL compressors/channel strips, as well as the Neve compressors. My favorite compressor is the Neve 33609SE. That thing sounds good! Try usin' the masterin' preset called smooth (its somewhere at the beginnin' of the list). I have to admit tho, SSL is impressin' the hell out of me wit their masterin' compressor. I'm not gonna say where that is in the preset... you'll have to find them for yourself. There are two of them that are really good! But, both of them give off great sound. For Reason, I just use the stock masterin' suites. I leave the punch on the drums. If I need to touch anything I will, otherwise I leave it alone.
Give me your definition of taggin' cause I'm lost. I don't really saturate anything. If I feel like there should be some reverb on the track, I'll add some. But, I don't have it swimmin' in reverb! I let the sounds say wha they say.
For some reason my Asylum submission beats will not play in fileblaze but will play when downloaded.

Thanks a lot for the info Beatfellaz! I'm using UAD software from my UAD Ultrapack until 4 months ago, but now I'm using Voxengo Elephant2 letting it to clip a few in the settings.
What I mean with saturation in your tracks is that I hear like a smooth analog clipping...but I've realized that sometimes it also happens to my beats.
About the tagging thing I mean I tag my beats with a recorded vocal tag throughout all the beat...every 5 seconds more or less. And my question was only thinking about whats the best way to tag the beats: your smooth analogic saturation or somethin like the vocal tags I put on.
Ok, I got you now! We use to do the "this is a beatfellaz production" over the trax a long time ago. That got annoyin' to everyone listenin' to the trax... n the only reason we did it was cause we didn't want people takin' our joints. We kinda learned that it was a bad idea tho. Its a good way not only to have your stuff heard more, but get your trax out to the public so they can hear it. Yeah, it sux when people take a track n wha u thought was a "goin' nowhere" situation ends up bein' some ill mixtape joint. Of course u wanna see that money. But, I look on the bright side. One day my boy was in the Bronx n heard someone bangin' one of our beats in his car. He heard the voice over the music n knew who it was that we had given the beat to. The artist put out his own mixtape for exposure. We thought he wasn't gonna do anything... but it turned out that we got a lot of exposure off the joint we did. Everyone was not only feelin' him, but knew who we were as producers. U mention the name Beatfellaz, n all that was said was "I heard of them dudes." They don't even kno how many people are in the click. They think we're like the Heatmakers or somn'. I would definately say don't tag your trax. They sound dope, n I think A&Rs would definately like to hear your stuff without "Brainiac Beats" every 4 bars. The trax n contact info will get u who u need.
As far as the analog saturation you're talkin' about... I'm on a binge right now - lol! I want my joints to sound like they came off of a record or somn'. I've decided I'm makin' a whole series of beats wit vinyl pops... n I'm gonna call it "Beatfellaz Presents: The Vinyl Collection, Vol. I." Give me a different sound to stand out a lil' bit, not to mention most of the drums I'm usin' are all off vinyls!
That How I Make U Feel is hot as hell. That chorus came in and I got the stinky face. Good work my dude.
like I said - u like a lot of us - but your shit is proper - if u want - link me with the somn yard - I can write & reference it - that's what I do - I'm the reggae head of DP - got some others - M.Dot, Wizdom, and a few who experiment - but reggae/crossover/pop/hip-hop is what I do & I write a lot - hit me up - email in sig - would just be an exp & if something dope came it's all good - if u don't like it - u know it's your beat & I'd never push something that I didn't have 100% leverage to do so
LOL... good lookin' mane! Tryin' my hardest... that's all I can really say!
Check ya email. When u got somn', don't send it to that acct. I only house trax there n chances are I won't get it unless I put a beat in there. Email it to the addy on my signature.
