<p>Last year time was a huge problem (not to menchion the speakers) at last years beat battle. The 45 second 1 beat entry is alright, but afterwards the 30 second battles take away from the competition. I think the day after when we had the morning discussions about the event and what could be done to make it better, that it was agreed upon that a longer time limit would seriously be considered. Not saying we should extend them to a minute, but just maybe the beats should all be about 45 seconds.</p>
<p>You yourself give specific descriptions about the battle submissions, What a battle beat is and how they must build and be heavy hitting. well, only having a 30 sec time limit really stifels that process. (I.E. alot of producers last year having big buildups but not enough time for the the beat to drop. their own fault but still.)</p>
<p>If possible, do you think a format change for that competition can be made before the conference?</p>
