Showcase: My Beats Are The Illest Beat Battle
Number Of Participants: Top 16
Rules: 16 Producers battle their pre-made tracks against one another. 4 rounds
Round 1 – 16 producers battle – 45seconds – 1 beat elimination
Round 2 – 8 producers battle – 30 seconds – 2 beats elimination
Round 3 – 4 producers battle – 30 seconds – 2 beat elimination
Round 4 – 2 producers battle – 30 seconds – 3 beat elimination
Round 5 – 1 producer WINS!

Judging: A panel of major producers, engineers, artists, A&R’s, and/or DJ’s will judge all rounds except the last round will be judged by the audience.

Consideration: Submit 10 of your best 10 Battle Style Tracks. A Battle Style Tracks is described as: “a beat with momentum, build up, heavy hittin, hard punches”; “a track that depicts the street corner…something that has hard drums and ill melody...it has got to hit everybody in the audience like a heart attack!” No Pop, Dance, Electronic Beats In This Round Please.  DP will select the top 16 producers to compete.  Login To The DP Forum For Acapella & Submission Address & Format.

Showcase: Official Mya "Born A Star" Remix Competition
Number Of Participants: Top 9
Rules: 9 Producers battle their "Born A Star" remixes against one another. 4 rounds
Round 1 – 3 producers battle – 1min 20sec – the best producer advances
Round 2 – 3 producers battle – 1min 20sec – the best producer advances
Round 3 – 3 producers battle – 1min 20sec – the best producer advances
Round 4 – the best 3 producers battle – one producer wins

Judging: DP will select the top 9 remixes.  Mya will select the grand prize winner.  In the event that Mya is unable to attend, we will feature a video blog from Mya announcing who she chose as the grand prize winner and why.  During the event, the crowd will judge the fan favorite.

Showcase: It's A Hit
Number Of Participants: Top 12
Rules: During this event we'll allow the top 12 producers who have full pop/r&b songs and tracks that they envision pop/r&b records over to play their music and receive feedback and critique. 

Judging: This is not a competition, but merely a showcase that will give producers with sights outside of pure hip-hop music an opportunity to show their versatility.  Judges will provide feedback.

Consideration: Each producer may submit up to 3 instrumentals and up to 3 full songs.  Login To The DP Forum For Submission Address & Format.

Rules: 9 Producers battle their "Gladiator" remixes against one another. 4 rounds
Round 1 – 3 producers battle – 1min 20sec – the best producer advances
Round 2 – 3 producers battle – 1min 20sec – the best producer advances
Round 3 – 3 producers battle – 1min 20sec – the best producer advances
Round 4 – the best 3 producers battle – one producer wins
Judging: DP & Mike Chavez will select the top 9 remixes.  Common will select the grand prize winner.  In the event that Common is unable to attend, we will feature a video blog from Common announcing who he chose as the grand prize winner and why.  During the event, the crowd will judge the fan favorite.
