Deadlines for all showcases/competitions is July 31, 2009.  Extensions may be requested after July 31, 2009 by contacting us direct at 770.4.56.5365.

 

Showcase: It's A Hit Competition
Number Of Participants: Top 12
Rules: 12 Producers battle their pre-made tracks and songs against one another. 4 rounds
Round 1 – 12 producers play instrumental ballads - 60 seconds – 2 beat elimination
Round 2 – 6 producers play mid/uptempos – 60 seconds - 2 beats elimination
Round 3 – 3 producers play 1 full r&b song & 1 full pop song – 180 seconds – 2 song elimination
Round 4 – 1 producer WINS!

Judging: A panel of major producers, engineers, artists, A&R’s, and/or DJ’s will judge all rounds except the last round will be judged by the audience.

Consideration: Submit 6 of your best tracks/songs.  In your submission include 2 instrumental ballad type tracks, 2 mid/uptempos, 1 full r&b song, and 1 full pop song.  DP will select the top 12 producers to compete.  Members login to the forum for submission details /  Non Members will be contacted once registered for the event with details.

 

 

 

Showcase: Dynamic Diagnostics
Number Of Participants: Up To 20
Rules: DP will select up to 20 producers to receive technical feedback and critiques from established industry engineers

Judging: This is not a competition, but rather a showcase to provide feedback so there is no judging criteria 

Consideration:  Submit up to 3 tracks you'd like to receive feedback on.  Members login to the forum for submission details /  Non Members will be contacted once registered for the event with details.  

 

 

 

Showcase: Beat Suite
Number Of Participants: Top 20
Rules: DP will select the top 20 producers to play tracks for a panel major producers, songwriters, engineers, artists, A&R’s, and/or DJ’s

Judging: This is not a competition, but rather a showcase to provide feedback so there is no judging criteria 

Consideration:  Submit your top 3 tracks.  Members login to the forum for submission details /  Non Members will be contacted once registered for the event with details.  

 

 

 

Showcase: Remix Competition
Number Of Participants: Top 12
Rules: DP will select the top 12 remixes for each song. Producers selected will showcase & compete at conference.

Judging: A panel of major producers, engineers, artists, A&R’s, and/or DJ’s will judge all rounds except the last round will be judged by the audience.

Consideration: Download the acapella and remix the song the dopest way possible.  Members login to the forum for submission details /  Non Members will be contacted once registered for the event with details. 

 

 

 

Showcase: My Beats Are The Illest Beat Battle
Number Of Participants: Top 16
Rules: 16 Producers battle their pre-made tracks against one another. 4 rounds
Round 1 – 16 producers battle – 45seconds – 1 beat elimination
Round 2 – 8 producers battle – 30 seconds – 2 beats elimination
Round 3 – 4 producers battle – 30 seconds – 2 beat elimination
Round 4 – 2 producers battle – 30 seconds – 3 beat elimination
Round 5 – 1 producer WINS!

Judging: A panel of major producers, engineers, artists, A&R’s, and/or DJ’s will judge all rounds except the last round will be judged by the audience.

Consideration: Submit 10 of your best 10 Battle Style Tracks. A Battle Style Tracks is described as: “a beat with momentum, build up, heavy hittin, hard punches”; “a track that depicts the street corner…something that has hard drums and ill melody...it has got to hit everybody in the audience like a heart attack!” No Pop, Dance, Electronic Beats In This Round Please.  DP will select the top 15 producers to compete.  We will hold a wildcard round before during the conference for the 16th spot.  Members login to the forum for submission details /  Non Members will be contacted once registered for the event with details.                                                        

 

 

Showcase: Sample Battle
Number Of Participants: Top 12
Rules: DP will select the top 12 for each sampled song. Producers selected will showcase & compete at conference.

Judging: A panel of major producers, engineers, artists, A&R’s, and/or DJ’s will judge all rounds except the last round will be judged by the audience.

Consideration: Download the original records (3) and flip 1 or more of the samples the illest way possible. Members login to the forum for submission details /  Non Members will be contacted once registered for the event with details.

Showcase: Producers Soundstage
